Our invitations are hand printed in our London studio using two traditional print techniques: hot foil blocking and letterpress. Both methods are carefully finished by hand and chosen for the depth, texture and craftsmanship they bring to each piece.
What to expect:
Design: Select a design from one of our collections and we will tailor this to you. Bespoke elements include colours and foils. If you need help deciding, we offer a complimentary design consultation.
Print: Once we have your final approval of the digital mockups, we will hand print your invitation suite to the highest quality.
Assemble: We will receive and quality check every piece. We will then assemble each invite and send to you. If you would like us to address each invitation we can offer this service. All you need to do is stamp and send.
We hand print your invitations using traditional techniques including foil blocking and embossing. The end result is a beautiful mixture of textures and depths.
Hot foil blocking: A traditional process in which a metal die engraved with your bespoke invitation design is heated and pressed into the paper with foil placed in between. Under heat and pressure, the foil is transferred onto the surface of the paper while simultaneously creating a subtle debossed impression. The result is a beautifully crisp finish with depth, shine and texture.
Letterpress: A centuries-old relief printing technique that creates a tactile impression in the paper. A printing plate made from your bespoke invitation design is inked and pressed into thick cotton paper using a traditional press. This transfers the ink while leaving a deep, crisp impression that gives letterpress its distinctive character and unmistakably hand-crafted feel.
