Done Right Ceremonies Full Description

At Done Right Ceremonies, I create unique, personal, joyful ceremonies that put the couple at the heart of the action. Whether you want to stage something traditional that will put a smile on Auntie Margaret’s face, or go bananas and blow her socks off, anything is possible.

I am trained and accredited by Humanists UK, and also went through the process of planning my own Humanist wedding ceremony in 2023, so I know how daunting a blank page can be. But that's where Done Right steps in, with advice and guidance you can trust.

Ensuring everyone laughs, cries, smiles and cheers at the right time on your big day is our primary goal here, but the journey should be fun too. Planning a wedding is stressful enough after all. As such, I am dedicated to making the process as stress-free as possible, so you can focus on enjoying the experience.

You’re unique, your guests are unique, and your story is unique... Your ceremony should be unique too, so if you're going to say "I do", make sure it's Done Right.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What's the typical process booking a wedding with Done Right Ceremonies?

First of all we'll have an informal online chat (maybe 15-30 mins), just to check we all like each other and will enjoy working together! If you decide to go ahead and book me we'll have a much longer chat, probably a couple of hours, to really dig into the details of who you are, why you're getting married, what you want in a ceremony, and how you want it to look and feel. I won't lie, the very concept of that can feel a bit daunting, but trust me when I say it's also enormous fun and 100% worth it!

I'll then go away and start piecing together your ceremony, leaving you to think about any personal touches such as vows, music and readings. We'll keep in touch as everything develops, and likely have a couple of follow-up calls, until about a month before the big day when we have a wedding ceremony that you're 100% happy with :)

What can I expect on the day?

If possible we'll try and have a rehearsal before to make sure everyone knows their cues, but on the day I'll be there early to make sure everything is set up exactly as you want. I'll then welcome your guests, welcome you, and deliver the amazing, personal, beautiful, unique ceremony we've put together, before finally declaring you married in front of all of your favourite people!

Once the ceremony is over I'll make sure any precious items are safely secured before saying my farewells and slinking away into the night like Batman, leaving you and your guests to enjoy the party.

What is your top tip for writing your own vows?

Think about what you'd want to hear from your partner, think about how they make you feel, and just go for it. Don't stress about good wording, don't worry about the right formatting, and whatever you do don't second-guess what they're writing ... just write. We can always tidy it up later.

There's an old adage in creative writing that says "write drunk, edit sober", and whilst I wouldn't condone this kind of behaviour, the idea is solid!

How far in advance should we book?

I recommend booking 6–12 months in advance to secure your date and give us both plenty of time to create the perfect wedding, but as long as I'm actually available on the day, any timeframe is potentially achievable.

What makes Done Right different from other celebrants?

Let's be honest here - any celebrant worth their salt will consult with you extensively before the big day, write something unique, and deliver the ceremony with confidence and a smile, but the real benefit of Done Right is the fun that comes with it. Sure, I'm dedicated to ensuring you have a warm, heartfelt, emotional, joyful wedding ceremony, but I'm also fully committed to making sure you have fun in the process!
