Hi, I'm Scott! A 2027 TWIA Yorkshire & North East Regional Finalist with over 10 years' professional experience.
I believe your wedding should feel like a wedding, not a photoshoot with a party attached.
You enjoy your day, I'll take care of the photographs.
I'll blend in, get to know your people and capture everything from the big emotional moments to the ridiculous dance moves and all the lovely chaos in between.
Awkward in front of a camera? Most of my couples say the same. Don't worry, I've got you. No stiff posing or disappearing for hours. Just a little gentle guidance when needed, then straight back to enjoying yourselves.
From 2-hour coverage for smaller celebrations to 8 hours+ capturing the whole shebang, we'll find something that works for you.
Planning something a little different? Even better. Let's talk!
I'll work incredibly hard, look after you and make sure we have a laugh along the way.
I want you to look back at your photographs and remember how your wedding felt, not just how it looked.
No awkward posing. No fuss. Just you, your favourite people and a photographer who's got you.
That's like asking me to pick a favourite cat! Every wedding is memorable for different reasons. One of my favourites was a summer wedding where the forecast predicted rain all day, but the sun came out, everyone relaxed, and the dance floor was packed from start to finish. The best weddings aren't always the most expensive or extravagant, they're the ones where people are genuinely enjoying themselves and celebrating with the people they love.
Calm, candid, natural, emotional and fun.
The trust my couples place in me. Most people tell me they're nervous about being photographed, then a few weeks after the wedding they tell me they forgot I was even there. Creating a relaxed atmosphere where people can be themselves, then delivering their gallery within 4 weeks (usually 14 days) is something I'm incredibly proud of.
Don't spend your wedding day worrying about your wedding day. The more relaxed you are, the more you'll enjoy it, and the better your photographs will be. Build a timeline with a little breathing room and trust the people you've hired to do their jobs.
Honestly, it's rarely the expensive things. I've seen grandparents acting as flower girls, dogs delivering rings, surprise singalongs, family recipes served as evening food, and handwritten letters exchanged before the ceremony. The best personal touches are the ones that tell your story.
The moments between the moments. The nervous smile before the ceremony, a proud parent wiping away a tear, friends laughing during the speeches, or a couple sharing a quiet moment together while everyone else is busy celebrating. Those are often the photographs people treasure most.
By not turning your wedding into a photoshoot. Most of the day I'm simply documenting what naturally unfolds. During couple portraits I'll give gentle guidance, but there are no awkward poses or forced smiles. We usually go for a short walk, have a chat, and create natural images without it feeling like hard work.
Because I'll care about your wedding as much as you do. I bring over a decade of professional photography experience, a relaxed approach, fast delivery, and a genuine love for telling people's stories. My goal is simple: help you enjoy your day and give you photographs that bring those memories flooding back every time you look at them.
Honestly, don't worry about it.
The weather is one of the few things none of us can control, and some of my favourite wedding photographs have been taken in the rain. Great photographs are about emotion, atmosphere and people, not sunshine.
I'll always have a backup plan, whether that's finding beautiful indoor locations, making use of covered areas, or embracing the weather with a few creative shots. If you have your heart set on a particular outdoor portrait, we’ll make a sensible plan around the forecast and venue, rather than letting the weather take over your day.
My photography journey started in the music industry, photographing bands, festivals and live events. I'm now the official photographer for Glastonbury's West Holts Stage and have spent over a decade working in fast-paced environments where moments happen in an instant and lighting conditions constantly change.
That experience taught me how to anticipate moments, work quickly and tell stories through photographs, skills that translate perfectly to weddings. While the subjects may have changed, the goal remains the same: capturing genuine emotion, real moments and memories that matter.
