Hi, I’m Dan, the photographer behind Dandrew Photography. I’m based in Hessle near Hull and photograph weddings across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the rest of the UK.
Your day. Your rules.
A big barn celebration, a city wedding, a festival in a field or something smaller with your favourite people — I’m here for it. I want you to have a wedding, not spend the whole day having a photoshoot.
My photographs are about the fun, the chaos and the real moments. Your mates catching up, the hugs, the speeches and whatever’s happening on the dance floor. The good stuff you remember, and the bits you were too busy enjoying yourself to notice.
We’ll still make time for family photographs and a few relaxed couple portraits. A short wander, a bit of guidance when you need it, then back to your people. You don’t need to arrive knowing how to pose.
I’ve photographed more than 300 weddings over the past ten years. Most of the time I blend in like another guest, just one who’s pretty handy with a camera. I’m also a movie nerd, an animal lover and always happy to hear about the little details that make your plans yours.
Full-day and shorter bespoke coverage are available, with edited photographs delivered through a private online gallery for downloading, sharing and ordering prints.

What is your most memorable wedding?
Everyone wedding is super unique and memorable for different reasons but one of them that has definitely stuck with me was a lord of the rings themed wedding!
How would you describe your photography style?
My style is relaxed and natural. I focus on capturing real moments as they happen rather than turning your wedding into a photoshoot. Think less posing and more genuine moments with your friends and family.
What if we feel awkward or don’t like having our photos taken?
Honestly, most couples say this to me at first. The good news is you don’t need to be “good at photos”. I keep things really relaxed and natural so it never feels like a big photoshoot. I’ll guide you when needed but most of the time I’m just capturing moments as they happen. After a few minutes you’ll forget the camera is even there.
How long do you stay on the wedding day?
That depends on the package you choose. Most couples book full day coverage which usually runs from morning preparations through to the evening dance floor.
How many photos will we receive?
Every wedding is different, so the number of photographs varies with your plans and coverage. You’ll receive your edited images in a private online gallery, with high-resolution downloads included.
How long does it take to receive our photos?
Your full wedding gallery usually arrives within 2–4 weeks. During busier periods, delivery can take six weeks or longer. I’ll keep you updated on the timings.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes. I’m based in Hessle near Hull and photograph weddings across Yorkshire and the UK. For venues more than two hours from HU13, travel costs depend on the distance and whether an overnight stay is needed. I’ll confirm any additional costs before you book.
What happens if it rains on the wedding day?
Honestly, some of the best photos happen in unexpected weather. I always find places that have texture and cool background for photos whether that be inside or outside. Or just embrace the rain, it's one day and you can wash your clothes, but the photos will last a lifetime!
How do we book you?
Send me your date, venue and a little about your plans through my contact form. A £300 deposit and signed booking agreement secure your wedding date. The remaining balance is due two weeks before your wedding.
Do you offer engagement or couple shoots?
Yes. Engagement shoots are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding and they’re always a really fun, relaxed experience.
