We are delighted to be able to share a part of our historic but still functioning textile factory. Only available for a very limited number of industrial/barn style weddings each year. It is a truly unique venue, with a number of handcrafted unique items included in the hire cost which compliment the style and character of the venue. Like everyone else looking for something a bit different you will love it. It’s minutes from Dundee City centre, therefore within easy reach of accommodation!

When you hire our venue, you’re not just booking a space for your wedding day – you’re enjoying 3 day exclusive use of the venue for a relaxed weekend celebration. With time to set up, celebrate and pack away without rushing, you can focus on enjoying every moment with your loved ones.
A Relaxed Wedding Weekend (3 day exclusive use)
Your hire includes access from Friday, giving you and your suppliers time to set up décor and prepare everything exactly as you envision. After your wedding day, you’ll also have time on Sunday (and Monday) to collect your belongings at a comfortable pace.
Handcrafted Tables & Seating
Your reception will be set with our beautiful handcrafted wooden tables and benches, individually made by venue owner Hamish. These unique pieces bring natural character to the space and create a warm, authentic setting for your celebration. Dining and ceremony seating for up to 170.
Sound System for Ceremony, Reception & Speeches
You’ll also have access to our PA system and microphones, making it easy for speeches to be heard clearly so every guest can share in those special moments.
Our aim is to provide the space, facilities and flexibility for you to create a wedding that truly feels like your own.
Our venue features two bars, each run by experienced, friendly staff who ensure the drinks keep flowing throughout your celebrations.
One bar is available for pre-ceremony drinks, helping guests relax and settle in, while the second serves reception drinks and post-ceremony celebrations, keeping energy high and the day moving smoothly.

We knew just from seeing photos online that it was going to be an amazing venue, but seeing it in person blew us away and as soon as we walked in, we knew it was the venue for us. We wanted something rustic, with loads of space and character to fill with our DIY decor and we really hit the jackpot with The Weaving Shed.We got married at The Weaving Shed on 21st June 2025 and it was an absolute dream from start to finish. We knew just from seeing photos online that it was going to be an amazing venue, but seeing it in person blew us away and as soon as we walked in, we knew it was the venue for us. We wanted something rustic, with loads of space and character to fill with our DIY decor and we really hit the jackpot with The Weaving Shed.

All our guests loved it as it wasn’t your traditional wedding venue. Hamish and his staff were amazing the full day! Would highly recommend for people who want to style their own venue, and it is so easy to get to from the city centre. You will not meet anyone as genuine and calm at a wedding venue than him. From the moment we booked, no question was too big or too small, and he was more than accommodating for our visits to measure this and check that. His vibe definitely was a factor in us choosing the weaving shed for our wedding. The main factor, though, is this absolute gem of a venue. My now-wife was skeptical because it was so hidden, but from the moment we walked in the door, we fell in love with it. The location makes the venue even more mesmerising. The venue was more than able to accommodate our 150 guests. It felt more than comfortable, and there was lots of space for our younger guests and some who are still young at heart to run and have a carry-on without getting in the way. The venue was so customisable that we got the day of our dreams, and the fact we were able to decorate on the Friday meant that we weren’t rushed and were able to enjoy the day. A lot of our vendors commented that this also made the job easier for them and was stress-free. The fact we were able to derig the venue on the Monday meant that we could also enjoy the Sunday after our wedding and not have to worry about the stress of getting everything out of the venue. On the day of our wedding, nearly everyone we spoke to commented on how ‘cool’ and ‘stunning’ the venue was. Being able to show visitors the venue and share with them the relatively unknown historic textile design roll the factory played in the Arts and Crafts movement also sharing with them the current industrial textile uses that continue today. Hand crafted tables, bars and benches!
