Set atop the gardens, the Glass Pergola is the perfect way to wow your guests with our unrivalled views across the capital and the sea to the north Devon coast without worrying about the weather. And, if the sun shines, we can retract the roof. Either way, you and your guests can celebrate in style and eat, drink and dance under the stars.
The versatile Wyndham Suite is the ultimate blank canvas to style the wedding you want in a stylish, classic space with contemporary touches and neutral décor crowned with a dazzling statement chandelier. Complete with its own bar and wide terrace to enjoy the views of the grounds, the city and the coast, you can truly create a world of your own for your special day.
Our Garden Marquee is a real statement venue, and the highest of the three, literally taking your wedding to the next level. With all the space you could want to make your own, its 16 windows make the most of the stunning country-to-city-to-sea views and can be opened effortlessly at the push of a button to bring the outside in. Before and after the main event in its purpose-built marquee, you and your guests can relax and mingle in its cool, private Mediterranean-feel bar and pergola lounge area, complete with retractable roof for sunnier days. Getting ready for the biggest day of your life is an important time. Begin your special day with a touch of luxury in our newly unveiled Getting Ready Room. This exclusive package includes a one-night stay for two guests the evening before, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep before the big day. On the morning of your wedding, our spacious suite is reserved for your wedding party to prepare in comfort, complete with a beautiful continental breakfast and a few bottles of Prosecco, perfect to toast to the day ahead. You helped made our day run smoothly and we cannot thank you enough for helping bring our wedding dreams to life. Our guests commented on how beautiful the venue is and how incredible the food was - and we couldn’t agree more! The staff at New House, from reception, bar staff, waiters, cleaners and gardeners, everyone was so welcoming, friendly and helped made our day perfect. The events team, you’re INCREDIBLE!! 🙌🏻 every single one of you went above and beyond and made us both feel at ease and special. You always had time for us. Emily and Cath, you helped us through every step of planning and were so incredibly helpful in minefield of planning a wedding - thank you so much! Lucy, you were there for me on the morning when my knees were shaking uncontrollably 😅 and helped calmed my nerves just before going down the aisle - thank you! Throughout the planning process you were so helpful and always on hand to answer any of our questions, we felt so confident in yourselves with our special day! This also included Teigan the reservations team who were so helpful in sorting our accommodation. On the day the team were absolutely incredible, nothing was too much trouble and they helped us both to be so relaxed and enjoy the day. The set up team did an amazing job and it was so lovely to see our vision come together so perfectly. Ollie and Beth (I think that’s her name, she had dark hair and had glasses) were amazing!! They just helped bring the day together and were also complimented by our guests. We even managed to go ahead of scheduled haha The food was also outstanding and just added to the day brilliantly. The venue as a whole was the perfect location for our wedding, every time we arrived we were blown away by the view and so were all of our guests! All of our guests have mentioned to us how much they love the venue and just how amazing the team were on the day and all the staff who helped throughout their whole experience as many were staying a couple of nights :) It was the best day of our lives and again just thank you so much for everything! The sun shone brightly throughout our wonderful day, which really showed cased all of the beautiful grounds, historic architecture and magical venue in all its glory. We got married in the Marquee suite, which has truly breathtaking views of Cardiff and a far. We must compliment the wedding and hospitality team, Cath, Ollie and all the staff you should be so proud and you are a real credit to this special place. Nothing was to much trouble, everything seems to run like clock work without even having to think, and all those fine details and sentimental touches are covered in abundance. The support in the planning, build up, throughout this perfect weekend has been unbelievable, you are truly on another level, and we’ll be forever grateful. The meticulously planned and decorated Marquee was something we could have only dreamed of. It was truly stunning, and no stone left unturned. Complimented with the most beautiful of 3 course wedding breakfast (even my dad indicated it was the best vegetarian meal he’d ever had) and finally the luxurious suites to unwind after an evening of dancing was just what was needed. A common theme from all of our guests were how beautiful this venue was, words attributed to the staff were organised, always Smiling, and nothing was ever to much. An almighty Job Well Done, and you’ll forever have a special place in our hearts. The day ran so smoothly and without a hitch, cath and the team took such impeccable care of us all. As the bride , I was under the assumption i would be in control of the day & would still be checking to see if certain decorations were in the correct places , but i didnt even notice a single item out of place or need to ask for a single thing. Every single request i made, was met with the utmost professionalism and a "we will do it all" attitude . the staff, venue , food , EVERYTHING deserves 5 stars , as they truly made our wedding day magical . FROM THE M4 MOTORWAY
Travelling along the M4 motorway, exit at Junction 32.
At the roundabout take the exit to Cardiff, sign post “Cardiff A470”.
Immediately after joining the A470 turn left just before the traffic lights onto Pantmawr Road.
At the end of this road there is a mini roundabout, turn right at the roundabout onto Rhiwbina Hill.
Follow the road for about half a mile, you will pass the Deri Public House on your left hand side. Turn left shortly after this, (there is a large church on the corner), onto Heol Llanishen Fach.
At the end of this road there are traffic lights. Turn left onto the A469 to Caerphilly. Follow the road for about 2 miles you will pass the Thornhill Crematorium on your left and the Manor Park Hotel is just before us.
The New House is on the left hand side on the base of the mountain (just passed Miller & Carter). Drive slowly as the Hotels entrance is concealed.
FROM CARDIFF
At the Castle in the City Centre drive along Kingsway following signs to Merthyr Tydfil and Caerphilly.
After approximately 2 miles, on reaching the flyover across the A48, drive in the right hand lane straight over the flyover.
After descending the flyover, there are traffic lights at The Cross Inn Public House, remain in the right hand lane and follow the road straight on, signposted A469 to Caerphilly.
Continue along this road until you reach the base of the Mountain. The hotel entrance is on the left had side on the foot of Caerphilly Mountain.

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
A few years ago on an August Bank Holiday weekend, we had a particularly large wedding , approx. 200 guests in our Marquee. The couples family originated from the Caribbean and wanted to include their heritage in parts of the day. After the ceremony which had gospel singers serenade them , We had Caribbean steel drums playing in the sunshine during the drinks reception. The most vibrant and beautiful colours displayed in guests outfits. We had tropical flower displays. The barbecue in the evening , again was accompanied by steel drummers, whilst guests were eating jerk chicken and Sweet potato fries! It really was a beautiful day.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Do your research, check supplier reviews, social media for venues, see what others have done and think if it works for you.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
An emotional one….but a brides late father had a message sewn into her cream carpet aisle runner at the start of the aisle, for her to see as she walked down the aisle alone. Not a dry eye in the house, the bride just about held it together to get down the aisle. It was beautiful.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The Sequoia Tree in our Grounds – it’s the largest in Wales and such a pretty area in the grounds.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Yes, we have had a few but as much as we would love to tell you, a good coordinator never tells.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Mini Welsh Beef Burger in Brioche Bun with Per Las Cheese – its so good!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Spit roasted hog carved onto a soft floury bap , Crackling Fresh apple sauce, sticky barbecue sauce assorted relishes
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our countryside setting but in city location – The Views really are spectacular.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Although an extremely busing wedding venue, we treat everyone as individuals and make them feel their day is just as important as anyone else’s.
