We offer stand-alone venue hire prices for those that like to organise and source their entire wedding themselves.
This price varies depending on your chosen day (weekdays are at a reduced pricepoint), as well as the length of your hire.

The day was perfect, and we are so grateful to you, Paul and Doug for making it so special. To put into words and express what the day meant to us all is almost impossible. The service was just beautiful. We felt that both the church & Paul had us all caught in its spell, with The peace, the history and the very essence of Dode. We've truly never seen so many of our friends moved by the beauty of the day. We had always hoped that the day would engulf us as a family and our treasured friends. There's something special about Dode that we instantly fell in love with. Communications with Becky (our Ceremony Coordinator) were timely and informative and the list she provided of 'prefered' suppliers from our Photographer (Matt James), Florist (Moody Blooms), Drinks Van (Double Bubble), Musicians (Sandra & Paul) and the most amazing grazing platter (Prinsa's Celebrations) all proved to be top tier! and being able to organise all of this amongst these 'friends of Dode' made the whole process hassle free! We wanted a small and intimate celebration (16 guests) and we couldn't have wished for a more beautiful day, Paul & Matt were our hosts and they did an outstanding job, really making us and our guests feel relaxed and welcomed. We'll be returning to Dode (in 1 year & 1 days time) to renew our handfasting vows, and I'm sure that it'll feel like visiting an old friend. Dode will always have a special place in our hearts and we can't thank everyone involved enough for the magic they brought to our day! Travel Notes
Turn off the A228 at Cuxton and proceed along Bush Road. At the junction take the left fork, signposted Luddesdown.
Follow this lane and watch out for the signpost indicating Great Buckland, Dode Church.
Before reaching Great Buckland there is a ‘no through road’ sign to the left. This is the lane leading to Dode, which is on the right after half a mile or so.

What is your capacity?
The Lost Village of Dode is a small venue, exclusively meant for smaller, intimate weddings. Therefore we host a maximum of 40 guests.
Can I get an owl to be my ringbearer?
YES! We work together with the fantastic Kent Owl Academy who have supplied some of our most fabulous ringbearers in the past.
Do you cater to vegans?
We have various catering options for different needs! One of our in-house caterers is specialised in vegan cuisine, and will deliver an absolutely stunning vegan banquet!
