- AA & C17/05/2026The Perfect Venue for the "Wedding of the Century!"The Perfect Venue for the "Wedding of the Century!"If we could give The Engine Shed in Wetherby more than five stars, we absolutely would. This was the very first venue we visited two years ago, and even before seeing anywhere else, we just knew it was the perfect place for us. A massive shoutout goes to Lee Conner, who is an absolute legend. He was incredibly supportive, so easy to work with, and went above and beyond to make our vision come to life. The food was incredible, thanks to Chef Dave! Our guests are still raving about how amazing the menu was, with the canapés being a massive standout. We also have to thank Emma, the brilliant bar manager, and the rest of the hardworking staff who kept the drinks flowing and the energy high all night. We had a very specific Lord of the Rings theme, and the venue was incredibly accommodating with all of our requests for customizing the space. They even set up their projector screen so we could play a surprise special video message from Billy Boyd (Pippin)! The layout of The Engine Shed is brilliant for keeping everyone entertained. They allowed us to use a separate room for karaoke (which ended up being one of the most popular areas of the night) and set up a beer pong table up on the mezzanine. One of the absolute highlights of the evening was when my bride and I got up on stage with CO2 guns and fired them into the crowd during Darude - Sandstorm. The team at The Engine Shed helped us make our wild ideas happen! The feedback we’ve had from our friends and family says it all. We’ve had guests tell us it was the “most fun I’ve ever had at a wedding,” that The Engine Shed is “the best and most beautiful venue I’ve seen,” and several have simply dubbed it the “wedding of the century.” We just wish we could rewind time and relive it all over again. They made it so easy and stress free from first meeting to the very last guest leaving the venue. All of our wedding guests loved the food, it was one of the best meals we’ve had. Lee was fantastic with the guests especially my son who involved in a lot of things and made us feel so ‘chilled’. I honestly cannot thank them enough.. and cannot express how truly thankful we are.Thank you to Lee and the team for such a fantastic wedding day. Everything about the process was so smooth, and relaxed. They made it so easy and stress free from first meeting to the very last guest leaving the venue. Already an unique venue that our guests love but great customer service as well. Lee the wedding coordinator is absolutely fantastic with cracking banter which you definitely need. Everything ran so smoothly and nothing was too much trouble even with last minute changes of a vegan 🙄 attending. The food is beyond fantastic and all our guests commentated on how different, tasty and how much food you actually got. It wasn’t cheap poorly cooked food it was proper tasty and massive portions. This was absolutely the day of our dreams and the Engine Shed definitely made this happen for us. Lee and the team are phenomenal at what they do and the day ran perfectly. Lee and the team were very accommodating to any request we had in the run up to our wedding. Communication was excellent and everything went smoothly on the big day. The street food we offer have so many options but the Massaman Beef Curry is an absolute winner.
