Our historic house with its ample reception rooms and beautifully designed interiors will create a unique backdrop for your wedding day.
Every wedding at Stubton Hall is exclusive use, giving you and your guests complete privacy. We host bespoke weddings all year round, with light-filled reception rooms and refined interiors that shine just as beautifully on a rainy day as they do in the summer sunshine.
Choose from three elegant ceremony rooms or say โI doโ in an outdoor ceremony on the sunny, south facing terrace. If youโre dreaming of a church wedding, a selection of nearby places of worship are easily accessible.
Food and drink are at the heart of every celebration here. Our talented chefs create delicious, freshly-prepared menus using locally sourced ingredients, paired with carefully selected wines. Whether you envision a traditional three-course wedding breakfast or a relaxed feasting-style meal, we expect you to tailor your menu to reflect you as a couple. Dietary requests are never a problem. When evening begins, thereโs plenty of space in our Orangery to dance to a DJ or live band, to celebrate with friends, and to make memories long into the night.
As the day draws to a close, you and your guests can retire to one of 25 onsite bedrooms. Breakfast with your friends and family the next day is always a fun and relaxed way to relive the memories made on your wedding day.

I donโt even know where to start with my praise for this venue - it was literally perfect from starting to plan the day to the actual day itself. Nothing was too much trouble and Laura the wedding coordinator was just fab - so professional and amazing at her job and good fun too. When we arrived at the venue for the weekend we were greeted by Mark who made the place feel like home for us all. He was wonderful with the children and again, nothing was too much trouble. We would like to thank all the staff for making our day truly perfect in every way. This is an absolute gem of a place โค๏ธIf you are looking for the perfect venue for your big day then Stubton Hall is just that. After being let down by our original venue very last minute for our New Yearโs Eve wedding, Stubton very kindly opened their doors to us when they would usually be closed. From the very first look round we were made to feel so welcome and they made every effort to ensure we were able to have everything we wanted and more for our wedding day. Laura and the team were so kind all the way through the process, and on the day helped everything run perfectly. Stubton was the dream location for our New Years Eve party from the warm and cosy fireplaces to the perfect dancing space well into the night. I cannot recommend Stubton Hall enough and we wish we could do it all again! Words cannot describe how grateful we are to all the team at Stubton for allowing us to have the most perfect wedding day! Laura and the team made sure everything was covered, nothing was too big or too small. She answered every question and went above and beyond. We were given full access the day before to set up which we were so grateful for. The morning of our wedding we all arrived first thing and were greeted with tea and coffees. Laura gave us a count down and let us all know what time and where we needed to be, which allowed us all to be stress free. Everyone had the best day and we wish we could do it all over again. From a photography perspective with lighting and locations you really will get wonderful photos. The stair case is a super awesome setup along with the grounds. It is a local venue to me which is a bonus but if you are considering traveling to Stubton Hall to get married it has all the facilities to accommodate you.Had the pleasure to photograph a couple of times now at Stubton Hall and it always seems to be magical. Does Stubton Hall have onsite accommodation?
Yes, we have 25 luxurious rooms in our country house for you and your guests. Payment for rooms is normally made the day after the wedding by the guests who occupied the rooms. Full English Breakfast and VAT is included in the price of the rooms. We love watching everyone come down to breakfast the next day to recount stories of the fun that was had on the wedding day.
It is also possible to book the night before your wedding at Stubton Hall. We do not charge an extra venue fee for this, but we ask that you and your guests take a minimum of 12 bedrooms.
Where is Stubton Hall?
Stubton Hall is conveniently located near Newark in Nottinghamshire. We are easily accessible from the A1 or from Newark or Grantham train stations. Stubton village lies 5 miles southeast of Newark and 10 miles northwest of Grantham on the Lincolnshire Nottinghamshire border. It is 120 miles north of London, 25 miles east of Nottingham, 75 miles south of Leeds. The train from London to Newark takes only an hour and ten minutes!

At Stubton Hall we aim to make your wedding planning effortless and hold your hands along the journey. After over seventeen years of providing outstanding weddings, we have learned a lot about how to make a wedding day special and go smoothly. Our small and friendly Events Team will personally guide you along the path to your event. We are here to help you with timings, menus, suggesting suppliers who meet our high standards, and more. No question about your wedding is a silly one - we will either have answers or we can help you find a way out of a planning dilemma.
Is Stubton Hall flexible with timings?
Yes, we are flexible in so many ways. On your wedding day you can arrive at Stubton Hall from 8am to start to get dressed (or sometimes earlier with prior agreement). Although most couples choose to have a ceremony at 1:30pm or 2pm, we also can arrange Twilight Weddings or Brunch Weddings. Our Events Team are here to craft the day you choose, not the day and timings that we tell you you must adhere to. It's all part of the personal conversations we hope to have with you as you plan your dream wedding.
What is the food like at Stubton Hall?
We pride ourselves on our delicious food, all of which is made in our kitchens by our chef. Our large variety of menus lets you choose between two or three course meals. Canapรฉs, both hot and cold, are always a fun addition to your drinks reception - and we don't skimp! Our normal number of canapรฉs per guest is 6, which is more than many other venues at a similar price. Dietary requirements are no problem whatsoever. After hosting weddings for so long, we are easily able to accommodate food intolerances or allergies. Whenever possible, we like to source meat and vegetables locally. We give opportunities for couples to taste a sample of our menus, so please watch our events to see when you could attend our next tasting event.
What kind of evening entertainment can we have at Stubton Hall?
The spacious Orangery at Stubton Hall is tailor made for dancing the night away. We have ample room for a DJ or a band, or both! You can add on fun extras like light up letters, photo booths, cocktail carts, champagne towers, dessert stations, and much more. We keep a great list of local suppliers who meet the high standards of Stubton Hall weddings.
What is the average cost of a wedding for 70 people at Stubton Hall in 2027?
The average price for a summer Saturday wedding for 70 guests in 2027 is ยฃ22,500. This includes the following:

- Half bottle of wine per person during the meal
