Oswald House is an 18th Century Georgian Mansion built in 1793, set in extensive parkland and overlooking the sea. The house retains many of its architectural features, whilst maintaining the charm and character of its era. Although the house commands an imposing country setting, it also sits adjacent to a golf course and is only a short distance from a bustling town with an abundance of additional accommodation for your guests.
We offer a range of exclusive use options which feature 15 bedrooms, traditional Reception room with grand fireplace, Garden Room with views overlooking the park and sea, private bar and exquisite Ballroom which boasts ceiling to floor windows, chandeliers and incredible views.
Part of the charm of Oswald is its homely party feel, giving you quality time with your nearest and dearest in the perfect setting for catching up, getting ready, partying and waking up to discuss the schenanigans from the night before. We would like you to welcome your guests here as if it were your own home and we would like them to leave feeling well fed, well watered and well danced!
Due to the layout, Oswald is hired exclusively only, giving you all the space to plan your wedding in any of our lovely rooms - plus enough bedrooms to ensure all the most important people share the full experience with you from start to finish.

So lovely, caring, and professional! The food was outstanding and the star of the show was the 'Oswald Chippy' a massive talking point from our guests! The venue itself is excellent. We have heard nothing but praising and positivity from all of our guests about the venue and staff. Thank you all so much! Are dogs welcome?
We don't allow dogs to stay at the property, but they are more than welcome to join the couple in the morning for getting ready, pictures and to be part of the ceremony. We would ask that dogs are picked up prior to the wedding breakfast.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
Oswald is fully licensed so alcohol is not permitted unless arranged through our team. We can certainly help with any specific requests and have some great suppliers for something specific.
Can we use external caterers?
We have an amazing kitchen team at Oswald and our Head Chef is great at creating bespoke menus to suit each couple.
