Where can you hold your ceremony?
Ceremonies can be held in several different locations on the estate, including our wedding pavilion, The Castle, Castle forecourt, Our Victorian Walled Garden and our Garden Lounge. These all vary in capacity size. Ceremonies outdoors are all weather permitting.
What time can ceremonies be held?
The earliest time we can accommodate a ceremony onsite would be 2pm.
What type of ceremony can be held onsite?
This is entirely up to you but there are many types to choose from - Humanist, Spiritualist or Civil ceremonies or a simple blessing from family/friends can be conducted onsite.
What décor do you supply for the ceremonies?
We provide you with stunning chivari chairs for your ceremony, a choice of ivory aisle runner or red carpet, along with a clothed table for signing the registry. You are very welcome to bring any additional décor items, such as flowers etc. Usually, the décor used for your ceremony will be utilised for the reception as well, but your chosen décor company will be able to advise further on options. Please note no permanent impacts can be left by your decorations e.g. No nails are permitted to be hammered into any surface.
Can I use confetti at my wedding?
Biodegradable flower petal confetti is the only confetti we permit onsite. It is permitted outdoors free of charge, however, for indoor ceremonies, there would be a surcharge of £150 to use confetti outdoors.
Do you have a power supply for celebrants and musicians?
Yes, we can organise a power supply, however all vendors must supply their own equipment.
How many rooms are there in the castle?
The castle has 4 bedrooms, all of which are four-poster beds, these beds cannot be twinned. On occasions we can place a roll away bed or a cot in a room. These rooms are allocated by the wedding couple. The Foxall Suite is our main suite, and is over 3 floors, The Gillespie Room has an ensuite (Toilet, sink and shower), The Bell Room has a ensuite (Toilet and sink), The Boyle Room uses the shared family bathroom on the floor.
How many rooms are in the main Hotel?
There are 45 bedrooms in the main hotel, 7 of these rooms will be allocated to your guests and the remaining rooms will be available for your guests to book on a live rate. All our rooms have full ensuite with baths and showers, we also have fully accessible rooms
What other accommodation offerings are there?
We have 4 self-catering residences. The Gate Lodge sleeps 6, The Woodside Residence can sleep 10 – 12 guests, The Studio at Woodside sleeps 2 and our Woodside Cottage sleeps 2. These are all self-catering; however, breakfast can be added on at an additional cost of £20 per person.
What time is breakfast?
Breakfast is served form 8am until 10am in our Gullion Restaurant in main hotel. Booking is always recommended.
