Inside the city wall, there's a special place to say I do. The rest is entirely up to you.
We do one thing and we do it properly: the ceremony. There's no reception package, no set menus and no pressure to plan your day a certain way. You can marry with two witnesses or with 80 of the people you love. We've hosted both, and both were great days
Zoar Chapel stands on the foundations of a medieval bastion tower, five minutes from Canterbury Cathedral. It later held the city's water supply. In 1845 it became a Baptist chapel. Today it's a Grade II listed wedding chapel for civil marriages, civil partnerships, vow renewals, elopements and blessings. It has no religious content and is open to everyone.
Only one ceremony takes place each day, so the chapel is yours from the moment you arrive. Julia or Aleasha will welcome you, play your music and look after you on the day. When you walk out, you're a short stroll from the cathedral, the river and some of Canterbury's best places to eat and toast.
