Steeped as we are in Scottish tradition – and proud of our locally sourced and seasonal menus – we are as comfortable with the most sophisticated world cuisine as with a themed banquet. To whet your appetite, cast your eye over our selection of wedding menu packages – and feel free to ask your wedding planner about mixing and matching dishes. If you have something particular in mind, no matter how exotic, don’t hesitate to let us know – because nothing excites our award-winning chefs like the challenge of creating a bespoke menu for you. With the honeymoon suite, special rates on rooms and suites and complimentary use of our spa for overnight guests all wrapped up in your wedding package, the only thing you need to think about on the day is yourself, your partner and your new life together.

If you would like to get married at Ardoe there we have room hire starting at £300, alternatively if using one of our packages your room hire is included. If you were looking to hire the venue only and bring outside caterers, it is from £2600 room hire fee. This includes tables, chairs and tablecloths and if you would like to hire any cutlery and crockery this is an additional £10 per person.

Everything from the relaxing morning to the ceremony to the wedding reception. The food was lovely and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. One of the reasons that we picked the venue was due to the photos, even if it was a wet day there were still plenty places inside for nice photos. Need to give a special shout out to Eilidh who from the start made our experience perfect. She answered all our queries and helped make sure everything we wanted happened in the way we hoped. We planned our wedding only 6months prior and this was fully supported. Couldn’t have asked for anymore. Highly recommend Ardoe House. So professional and made the whole experience as easy as possible. Every room we used was beautiful. The food was amazing. The hotel rooms were amazing and perfect for guests. The suites were just beautiful. Even though it is a hotel it felt very private and intimate the whole way through. Big shoutout to Eilidh for making it all happen. Eilidh took everything in her stride, she was the perfect person for two novices stressing out 🙈 The venue is stunning, we had our reception in the Ogston suite which looks out over the lawns and we love how you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere yet Aberdeen is so close by! The food was delicious (highly rate the haggis starter!) and all the staff were very friendly. Norman, the master of ceremonies was brilliant! He chatted with guests and ourselves and made sure we had canapés by bringing us a plate of a few of each, such a lovely touch. Couldn’t have been better! I can truly say that Ardoe was the perfect venue for us and they made the lead up to the wedding and the day so amazing. The venue itself is so stunning with classic castle vibes in the grounds and inside but the events took themselves having a little bit more of a modern vibe to them. Eilidh the wedding coordinator is so lovely and leading up to the wedding was more than happy to help with any questions. On the day itself she was regularly checking in to make sure all was running smoothly and if there’s anything we wanted tweaked or done differently. The master of ceremonies - such a lovely guy! He looked after us so well from getting drinks for us in between getting our pictures done, making sure we had canapés when we got back and were mingling with guests and reassured us before entering the wedding breakfast. The rest of the staff - all so lovely and kind. Nothing was too big an ask for them and everyone we interacted with was so excited for us and willing to help in any way they could. When we initially booked Ardoe in 2022 we had our doubts as a lot was going round they may not have had the best few years. We are so glad we went with our gut though and picked them for our special day as they were nothing but amazing through the whole process!! Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
All weddings are special in their own way. I love how every wedding is different and all the little touches couples add to make their special day perfect for them
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Create a playlist (or multiple) to have as background music for pre ceremony, during the drinks reception and during the meal. This will create a nice ambiance for your day. We have a portable Bluetooth speaker which couples are welcome to use for their special day.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
As the bride was German, a lot of her family either spoke very little/no English. To accommodate this the wedding programme had the ceremony in German, their favour tags were written in German and her sister translated all of the speeches to allow all guests to be involved in every aspect of the wedding.

Fairytale, Historic, Elegant, Tranquil, Picturesque
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We have many amazing spots both inside and outside the hotel, however my top three would be:
- The front door under the arches as this creates some beautiful shaping and the perfect space for your big group photos (and confetti shots)
- The tree stump, our braver couples love to stand on the stump and get the whole hotel and lawn behind them creating the perfect backdrop for their photos (especially in golden hour)
- Visiting our cows, they love to get photos with our couples and they create some excellent, unique photos for your wedding.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
While we have had many famous hotel guests we are yet to have any famous wedding couples or guests, however we would love to have in the future
What’s your favourite canapé?
My favourite canape is the chicken & red pepper skewers with satay sauce for a savoury treat or mini Victoria sponges for a sweet treat
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
My favourite midnight treat is our dirty fries station as there is nothing better at the end of the night than chip and curry sauce!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our aesthetic and offering as at Ardoe we mix traditional with modern inside and with 30 acers of ground there is very few requests we cannot accommodate.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
Our team, we have an excellent team in all departments. The staff are always on hand to help and they are a great asset to our business
