The space was fantastic, the food was great and everything was served in a timely manner. All the staff were excellent - but Kate, who looked after us all night truly went above and beyond. We had a group of 20+ girls, and the venue was amazing. We were in the Sunroom which was a great spot for our event to take place. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. - CConnie Caroline23/04/2026FabulousFabulousRefurbished and now more fabulous than before. We held our wedding reception in the Ghost of Alfred Fenton rooms on the top floor. The team at the Espy couldn't have done any more to make our day super special. From the welcome drinks, to the roving cocktails, to the endless cocktails ordered and setting up for cake and speeches. It was a dream evening. The room is so uniquely decorated we didn't feel the need to add any additional wedding decorations which saved us many $$.Refurbished and now more fabulous than before. We held our wedding reception in the Ghost of Alfred Fenton rooms on the top floor. The team at the Espy couldn't have done any more to make our day super special. From the welcome drinks, to the roving cocktails, to the endless cocktails ordered and setting up for cake and speeches. It was a dream evening. Its a stunning venue if you like the gothic/moody vibes and despite Weddings not being their bread and butter, all the staff from our event manager (Kristina) to all the staff on the day/night were incredible and went above and beyond. It gets extremely busy on Friday Saturday Sunday nights. Hotel Esplanade definitely is a great place where you can enjoy with indoor or outdoor seating.
